Nalin focuses on the most significant KPMG capital market accounts specializing in large scale transformation initiatives. He has extensive practical experience in helping organization to re-design and re-engineering their operating model, design their target application architecture to achieve the business objectives and structure large scale programs to maximize the speed of delivery. 

Prior to joining KPMG Nalin was:

• Deutsche Bank (Managing Director) - CTO for Finance Technology - Global Technology Business Architect where he managed a budget of approximately $190m with a globally team of 900.  Key achievements were global rollout of SAP GL, rollout of a PNL explain system, implementation of Basel 3 platform and design of new operating model
• Merrill Lynch (Managing Director) CTO for Corporate Technology and CFO for Finance Re-engineering where he managed a budget of $100m and a global team of 450.  Key achievements global rollout of Oracle GL, restructuring of failing outsourcing deal to save 20% of product costs, delivery of daily PNL system to the global heads of the business, migration to a daily balance sheet and shortening the close from 14 to 2 days when Merrill Lynch was acquired by Bank of America
• Partner with Accenture focused on capital markets clients solving front, middle and back office issues.

Three recent engagements

• Worked with Finance Leadership to develop a Finance Roadmap where we focused on identifying the business changes and building causal relationships with the Technology changes needed
• Consolidated the eleven General Ledgers of a global investment bank onto a single chart of accounts and two instances of Oracle
• Developed the overall functional architecture, solution design, testing, conversion for the implementation of a loan accounting sub-ledger which processes a book of over 18M loans.
