Kyle Kappel

Kyle Kappel is a Principal in KPMG’s Cyber practice. Kyle has over 20 years of experience in the information technology field and has a varied background in cyber security transformation, technology integration, program delivery, data privacy, regulatory compliance, risk management, and general technology issues. 

While Kyle has strong technical skills, he utilizes a business-centered approach to solving technology problems by addressing root causes instead of technical symptoms.  Kyle also has substantial experience leading a variety of large scale and complex technology efforts with and on behalf of his clients.  His technical experience includes areas such security strategy & governance, IT-GRC, identity & access management, privileged account management, virtualization security, cloud security, mobile device security, data loss prevention, privacy, incident response, security monitoring, security operations centers, digital forensics, application security, penetration testing, and vulnerability management. 

He has served as an advisor to numerous Fortune 500 organizations, working with wide array of Senior Executives, including Board of Directors, Audit Committees, Chief Information Officers, Chief Financial Officers, Chief Operating Officers, Chief Technology Officers, and Chief Information Security Officers.
