Andrea Kalliaras

Andrea Kalliaras is an audit partner in KPMG’s Alternative Investments practice and is responsible for audit engagements of private equity funds, private equity fund of funds and investment advisors. Prior to joining KPMG in July 2014, Andrea was a principal at Rothstein Kass.
As an expert in the private equity space, Andrea has over 25 years of experience working with domestic and offshore private equity funds, venture capital funds and their investment advisors. Her client base includes leveraged buyout funds, venture capital funds, mezzanine sponsors and private equity funds of funds. Andrea has specific expertise in analyzing the value of debt and equity investments in a range of industries including biotechnology, healthcare, life sciences, technology and pharmaceutical. In addition, Andrea advises clients on the fund’s initial organizational structure and documentation, and consults with management regarding operational and regulatory compliance best practices.
Andrea speaks frequently at various private equity industry events. During her tenure she authored the firm’s Private Equity Fund Pro Forma Financial Statements Reference Manual, and contributed to the firm’s Women in Alternative Investments annual report.
Andrea received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Rutgers University. She is licensed as a certified public accountant in the states of New Jersey and New York. She is a member of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA), and sits on the organization’s private equity and venture capital committee. She is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJSCPA).
