Brent Johnson is a the Partner-in-Charge of KPMG Southeast Tax Region, comprising the firm’s 13 Southeast offices, spanning Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, Puerto Rico, and Tennessee. With a commitment to fostering professional growth, Brent focuses on enhancing the skills of our Southeast tax team and creating enriching opportunities that enable us to deliver exceptional value to our clients.

Throughout his distinguished career, Brent has provided expert advice on complex federal income tax matters. His extensive experience and strategic vision have been instrumental in addressing the intricate tax needs of numerous clients.

Before taking on his current role, Brent was the Southeast Major Market Leader and National Operations Leader for the M&A Tax practice. In this capacity, he played a pivotal role in advising clients on complex M&A tax issues, optimizing transaction structures, ensuring tax compliance, and aligning their tax strategies with organizational goals to maximize value and efficiency.
