Ted Jahn is a managing director in the KPMG Information Reporting & Withholding Tax Services practice. He has extensive experience in advisory and operational implementation of both U.S. and non-U.S. indirect and operational taxes.
Prior to joining KPMG, Ted was a director in the corporate tax department of a global non-U.S. based bank where he served as an adviser to his business and operations partners on matters related to indirect and operational taxes. Ted was also appointed the Responsible Officer for the bank’s Expanded Affiliated Group on Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act and qualified intermediary matters that included more than 700 entities. Prior to his role at the bank, Ted was an executive director at a global U.S. based financial firm where he was responsible for all aspects of tax operations for the firm. In this role, Ted created a tax operations center of excellence that supported both the retail and institutional businesses.
Ted is a frequent speaker both in the U.S. and internationally regarding FATCA, RO and other information reporting issues. He served as a member of the SIFMA Tax Compliance Committee and as the lead of the Wall Street Tax Association’s FATCA committee.
Ted holds Master of Taxation from Villanova University, an MBA degree from St. John’s University, and a BA degree from California University (PA). He is a certified public accountant registered in New York and is a member of both AICPA and NYSSCPA.
