Jeremy Gray
Principal, Tax
Jeremy is a Principal in the KPMG Philadelphia office. He has more than 23 years of experience in indirect taxes (including value added tax (VAT) and goods and services tax (GST)), in both the private and public sectors, including working as an investigator with the New Zealand Inland Revenue Department.
Prior to joining KPMG, Jeremy worked in Dubai, originally as part of the team advising the United Arab Emirates Government on the implementation of value added tax (VAT), and subsequently taking responsibility for the development and management of the world trade management practice across the Gulf Cooperation Council countries for a large professional services firm.
Jeremy is principally involved with assisting clients in dealing with all aspects of indirect tax, helping them manage complex transactions, developing risk assurance strategies (including managing revenue authority audit activity and disputes) and identifying opportunities for savings. He has also assisted many clients to identify and resolve internal processing risks by ensuring indirect tax accounting systems and processes are correctly established to prevent indirect tax leakage. In addition, Jeremy has assisted with various supply chain reviews to help ensure international indirect tax inefficiencies do not arise in respect of cross-border transactions.
Jeremy has provided indirect tax consulting and compliance services for clients in a broad range of industries including e-commerce, education, automotive, manufacturing, healthcare, IT, telecommunications, retail, hospitality, finance, insurance and property development.
