Lou is a Principal at KPMG and an Associate General Counsel in the Contracting group within KPMG’s Office of the General Counsel. He specializes in intellectual property, technology, and contract matters.
Lou started his career as a litigator in private practice, but after a few years transitioned to complex commercial and technology transactions. He spent a large part of his career working for Bulge Bracket investment banking firms such as Lehman Brothers and Citigroup. Immediately prior to joining KPMG he was Chief Counsel for contracting at the New York Stock Exchange.
A strategic leader with over 20 years of experience advising clients on commercial transactions, intellectual property matters, risk and regulatory issues, innovation and product development, litigation, and corporate matters. Lou manages a team of attorneys, paralegals, and contract managers who are responsible for legal advice related to: client contracting, intellectual property matters (including patent prosecution), strategic transactions, joint ventures, managed services, privacy and information security, and strategic sourcing.
