James Gatley is a partner in KPMG's Transfer Pricing practice, as well as its affiliated law firm, Moskowitz + Meredith LLP. James is a lawyer who has worked in international tax and transfer pricing since 1996. He has extensive experience in a variety of complex transfer pricing matters, including advance pricing arrangements, transfer pricing planning, audit defense, competent authority requests and documentation studies.

Prior to working in industry, James practiced with another Big Four consulting firm. James’ experience in consulting and industry has given him a unique perspective and understanding of his client’s practical requirements.
James has a bachelor of commerce degree in finance and accounting, a master of business administration in business policy and a bachelor of law degree in taxation and corporate law. He is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, and has completed/passed all levels of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants In-Depth Tax Course.
