Chris Ekebergh

Chris is an audit partner in the KPMG audit practice with more than 20 years of audit experience. He has a strong background with U.S. GAAP and international financial reporting standards (IFRS) and has worked on a global level with KPMG audit teams around the world. His experience includes serving companies in the restaurant, retail and real estate industries.

Professional and Industry Experience

Chris has substantial experience in leading and coordinating large and small audit engagements. Specifically, he has led the planning, budgeting, and execution of integrated audits for public companies. Chris is also well versed with SEC and Sarbanes-Oxley reporting requirements.

Chris is a national instructor for various KPMG internal seminars and has also served the role of KPMG IFRS Champion within the KPMG audit practice. His experience includes serving companies in the restaurant, retail and real estate industries. Specifically, Chris has:

• Served public restaurant clients where primary responsibilities included coordination of SEC filings and completion of internal control audits.
• Served small and large private restaurant and retail companies.
• Served global companies reporting under U.S. GAAP and IFRS. Primary responsibilities included coordination with global audit teams and successful completion of financial statement audits.
