Derrick J. Dyslin is a Managing Director in KPMG LLP’s Houston office, leading the Commercial Real Estate division of the firm’s National Property Tax Practice. With more than 23 years of experience, he specializes in property tax valuation, appeals management, and strategic consulting for complex commercial real estate across the United States.
Derrick has personally managed appeal reviews in all 50 states and is recognized for his expertise in hearings, testimony, tax exemptions, and property tax litigation. His consulting portfolio spans a wide range of property types, including data centers, office campuses, hospitality, healthcare, multifamily, retail, industrial, high-tech manufacturing, and other special use facilities. At KPMG, he is focused on driving the national expansion of the Commercial Real Estate Practice, delivering innovative solutions and high-value results for institutional investors, REITs, and Fortune 500 clients.
Prior to joining KPMG, Derrick held senior leadership roles at Ryan Tax, Paradigm Tax Group, and Deloitte. Derrick holds a B.A. from UC Berkeley and is licensed as a Property Tax Consultant in Texas, Arizona, Florida and Los Angeles County.
