Managing Director, Washington National Tax
Seevun is a Managing Director in the International Tax group for the KPMG Washington National Tax practice. Seevun provides strategic advice on inbound and outbound U.S. tax issues to multinational clients from a wide variety of industries, including manufacturing, financial services, retail, technology, and life sciences. She has helped clients understand the effects of new U.S. tax laws, including the Corporate AMT and BEAT regimes, in addition to global tax reforms, such as the OECD’s BEPS 2.0 Pillar Two project. She has also helped clients work through the treatment and classification of CFCs and PFICs, as well as the taxation of foreign corporations, application of income tax treaties, and FTC and IP planning, among other matters.
Seevun has written for Tax Notes, Bloomberg, and other tax publications, including as a co-author of the TM Portfolio on BEAT; is regularly featured in KPMG webcasts and the Inside International Tax and Destination Country X podcasts; and has presented at the American Bar Association, International Fiscal Association, Global Business Alliance, and Federal Bar Association.
Prior to joining KPMG, Seevun was a tax associate at Fenwick & West LLP. She has a JD degree, cum laude, from Harvard Law School; an LLM degree in public international law, Merit, from London School of Economics; an MSc degree in forced migration from the University of Oxford; and a BA degree in international relations, magna cum laude, from University of Southern California.
