Principal, International Tax, Value Management
One of the National Leaders of KPMG's Value Chain Management (VCM) practice. The VCM practice integrates tax, trade and advisory perspectives into the overall business thought process, thereby enhancing long-term value for organizations. Our VCM practice includes professionals from all relevant disciplines within our Tax, Transfer Pricing, Trade & Customs, Management Consulting and Strategy practices from across the global KPMG network of member firms.
More than 20 years of industry, academic, Big 4 and law firm experience helping multinational organizations across all industries integrate their operational and tax planning in a scalable and sustainable way to help business leaders make more effective decisions on an after-tax basis.
Extensive experience with the migration of intangibles, supply chain/value chain planning and other types of business transformations/conversions, including legal entity restructuring, acquisition planning, post-merger integration, and general international tax planning strategies designed to minimize global direct and indirect taxation. In addition, work closely with business units to design new business and operating models, and ensure that new organizational designs, new business processes, new protocols, new system designs, and new contracts are all established in a way that creates efficiency and aligns with tax planning. In this regard, a component of my work involves developing tax-efficient “transition” strategies in connection with changes to a company’s supply chain and/or business model. Significant practical experience in the assessment, design, implementation, post-implementation maintenance and defense of global tax-aligned operating strategies, as well as risk assessment (including related to Fin 48 and the OECD's Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS) initiative). An integral part of my experience also includes project management and effective resolution of critical business, tax and legal issues.
