Matteo Colombo is a visionary and goal oriented executive with proven success in business development and client services. He has 20 years of information technology and consulting experience performing as business executive, client executive and strategic advisor for many fortune 500 companies.
Matteo is responsible for KPMG’s Data & Analytics (D&A) global Microsoft practice. Matteo is also responsible for D&A Go-to-Market and sales enablement across the firm.
Prior to joining KPMG Matteo developed and managed D&A practices for several large and small technology and consulting organizations including IBM GBS, Deloitte Consulting and HCL Technologies.

As a D&A expert Matteo performed in advisory roles for several clients in multiple sectors focusing on developing D&A strategies, business assessments, value cases, Big Data deployment paths and target operating models.
D&A Programs & Deployments
- Managed large data & analytics program for a global manufacturing company focused on enabling process and information governance while deploying an enterprise data-warehouse in combination with a data lake across four regions, multiple businesses and ten thousand users. The template for information management was developed based on global deployment principles, localized and integrated with multiple sources of data including the entire ERP suite.
- Led the information management strategy for a major technology company. Responsible for the designing of the key information management governance processes including: information architecture, data ownership and information patterns, target operating model, organization readiness and deployment strategy. The deployment of the governance model and the new disposition process resulted in a streamlined information architecture that consolidated reporting requirements by a factor of ten.
- Led the BI team of a major government agency in several critical business transformation initiatives. Designed an integrated tax analytics solution encompassing data patterns from CRM, SAP ERP and e-Services.
Other initiatives included information process simplification and standardization, KPl driven benefit realization, advanced analytics and predictive modelling.
