Amy Chapman specializes in corporate taxation, with a particular emphasis on mergers & acquisitions, dispositions, reorganizations, debt restructurings, and bankruptcy and nonbankruptcy workouts.
Prior to joining KPMG, Amy was an associate in the tax department of a major international law firm based in New York.
Amy serves on the Corporate and Shareholders technical resource panel for the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She regularly lectures on corporate tax matters and serves as a panelist for various groups, including the American Bar Association and the DC Bar Association. She has also published numerous articles, including in Tax Notes, the Journal of Corporate Taxation and The Tax Adviser.
Amy earned a JD degree from Washington & Lee School of Law and a BA degree from St. Mary's College in Maryland.
