Adam is a Tax Principal in the Los Angeles office of KPMG LLP (KPMG) and the National Leader for the KPMG Accounting Methods and Credits Services practice. He specializes in tax accounting methods, fixed assets, manufacturing deductions, energy incentives, R&D tax credits and deductions, and excise taxes (medical device).
With more than 19 years’ experience with “Big 4” firms, Adam has managed, implemented, and successfully defended excise tax, tax accounting method, manufacturing deduction, and research tax credit engagements for clients in multiple industries, including manufacturing, agriculture/farming, food/beverage, aerospace/defense, energy, technology (computer software & hardware), biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, electronics, telecommunications, financial services/banking, engineering/construction, entertainment, and retail.
In this capacity, Adam has significant experience on projects with middle market and Fortune 50 and 100 companies, which involve working directly with client senior management and personnel in the accounting, tax, finance, regulatory, research and engineering, facility/operations, IT, and legal departments.
Adam is actively involved in external and internal trainings on tax accounting methods and R&D tax credits on a national level. He conducts R&D training at TEI meetings, and, as a guest professor, he presented R&D tax credits at the University of Southern California, Master of Business Tax Program.
