Karla is a Director in KPMG’s Global People & HR COE with 20 years of HR and employment law experience spanning the globe and numerous industries. She works with organizations to unlock the value of Gen AI for their workforce by identifying opportunities for the workforce and augmenting previously hard-to-automate tasks. Using a human centric approach to role re-design and intentionally redesigning roles to uncover the potential friction of digital platform integration, Karla helps organizations realize the value of their GenAI technology investments. And by identifying the greatest areas of opportunity for GenAI implementation, Karla helps organizations maximize the value of their GenAI technology investment. Karla also works with organizations to transform their HR functions through process transformation, refreshed organizational design, developing new people service delivery strategies, or system implementations.
Karla has distinctive HR experience as an HR practitioner, labor and employment lawyer and as an HR consultant. She brings a unique perspective to every situation, since she has seen—and solved—HR and workforce problems from many different angles. Karla is known for being an energetic leader with a passion for excellence and being a trailblazer in the market.
Karla has a BS from Drake University and a JD from the University of Iowa.
