Daniel is a partner in the KPMG national M&A Tax practice and is based in the firm's Washington DC metro offices. Daniel is a full-service M&A advisor for private equity groups for the entire life cycle including fund structuring, buy side consultation, operational tax advice and monetization planning.
Daniel is also a founder of KPMG’s Partnership Transactions Group (“PTG”), which focuses on tax structuring related to a variety of complex partnership transactions. In his PTG role Daniel assists clients with effectuating complex partnership transactions including assisting clients pursuing IPOs and secondary offerings using special purpose acquisition companies (i.e., SPACs), umbrella partnership C corporation (i.e., Up-C) and implementing tax receivable agreements (i.e., TRAs).
Daniel is one of KPMG’s leading advisors in clean energy M&A and credit monetization transactions, including traditional tax equity, transferability, direct pay and historically, YieldCos.
Daniel has directed the internal development of KPMG’s proprietary Partnership Transaction Group Solution (“PTGS”), which provides an Alteryx based environment for performing complex Subchapter K calculations including Sections 704(c), 734(b), 743(b), 751(a) and TRA calculations/reporting.
