Poland: No new real estate taxes on photovoltaic farms and installations

Proposed amendments would maintain the current taxation method

The Ministry of Finance on August 21, 2024, issued a notice (Polish) confirming that it is not working on introducing any new real estate taxes on photovoltaic farms and installations.

The proposed amendments to the Act on Local Taxes and Fees would maintain the current taxation method, which does not cover photovoltaic farms and installations as a whole but only their construction elements (supporting structures). Photovoltaic farms are not currently, nor would they be under the proposed bill, listed as objects of real estate tax.
