Agreement granting various subsidies to taxpayers with respect to various local taxes in Nuevo León

An agreement granting various subsidies to taxpayers with respect to various local taxes in Nuevo León was published on August 23, 2024.  

Taxes covered

  • Payroll tax
  • Obtaining prizes
  • Expenditures on gambling
  • Holding of gambling games and raffles
  • Rates actually charged by transportation network companies
  • Lodging
  • Transfer of ownership of used motor vehicles
  • Environmental due to contamination in the extraction of petroleum materials
  • Emission of pollutants into the atmosphere, water, subsoil or soil

Subsidies granted

  • 90% in surcharges and fines related to payment obligations corresponding to fiscal years 2018 to 2023
  • 80% in surcharges, penalties, and execution costs derived from tax credits in fiscal years 2018 to 2023
  • 50% in fines determined by the tax authorities for non-compliance with obligations from 2018 to 2023

In the case of deferred tax credits or those being paid in installments, the previous subsidies may be applied only for the outstanding balance to be settled from the period 2018 to 2023.

The agreement is effective from August 23, 2024, until December 31, 2024.
