Updates to income tax treaties with Qatar and Pakistan

The governments of Estonia and Qatar on 7 March 2024 signed an income tax treaty, which will enter into force after both parties have ratified it.

In addition, the income tax treaty between Estonia and Pakistan reached the second reading in the Estonian Parliament (Riigikogu), which will enter into force after both countries have notified each other of the completion of the domestic procedure necessary for entry into force. The provisions of the treaty will be applied in Estonia from 1 January of the year following its entry into force, and in Pakistan from 1 July of the year following its entry into force.
