Nigeria: Migration of electronic platform for filing transfer pricing returns and country-by-country notifications

Taxpayers have until 30 June 2024 to fulfill all pending filing obligations relating to filings on TaxPro-Max.

Transfer pricing returns and country-by-country notifications

The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) issued a notice that the electronic platform for filing transfer pricing returns and country-by-country (CbC) reporting notifications will be migrated from E-TPPLAT to TaxPro-Max (TPM).

The notice grants both existing and prospective taxpayers until 30 June 2024 to fulfill all pending filing obligations relating to such filings on TPM.

KPMG observation

The E-TPPLAT portal was launched by the FIRS in March 2020 to enable seamless, electronic filing of annual transfer pricing and CbC returns. The TPM platform was subsequently introduced by FIRS in June 2021 for taxpayers’ electronic filing of Naira-denominated direct and indirect tax returns. Consequently, up until now, taxpayers were required to register on both the TPM and E-TPPLAT platforms to discharge all of their tax obligations.
