The Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia on 9 February 2023 issued an updated e-invoice guideline (version 2.2) (replacing version 2.1) and e-invoice specific guideline (version 2.0) (replacing version 1.1).

The highly anticipated software development kit was also released on 9 February 2024, comprising of two main types of application programming interfaces (APIs)—platform APIs and e-invoice APIs that serve to facilitate interaction between taxpayer systems and the MyInvois System.
