The KPMG member firm in Malaysia prepared reports on the following draft guides issued by the Royal Malaysian Customs Department (RMCD) on 7 February 2024:

  • Guide on transitional rules for the change in service tax rate to 8% (from 6%). Note that the draft guide is still under review by the Ministry of Finance and thus subject to change until the relevant legislation is gazette. Read the February 2024 report [PDF 609 KB]
