Sam Ganga is the U.S. Consulting Sector Leader for Consumer & Retail at KPMG, working closely with clients to understand their challenges and needs and determine sector trends that influence their business and present opportunities for solutions. A programmer by trade and two-time entrepreneur, Ganga also serves as KPMG’s data/AI and cloud leader for the Products Line of Business, which includes consumer and retail, industrial manufacturing, life sciences, and energy, natural resources and chemicals. In this role, he focuses on addressing industry and business challenges by using data, cloud, cyber and “everything related to technology” effectively.

  • Led a team to define the value case and operating model for a marketplace in the after-market parts industry
  • Led a team that assessed the launch readiness of a marketplace platform for a Fortune 50 company
  • Led a team at a consumer products company to launch a digital marketplace platform (client exceeded planned business outcomes in first year)
  • Led a team at a major life sciences company to launch a digital business (client exceeded 5-year business case in 2 years)
  • Led a team at an animal nutrition and wellness company to launch a digital business (client exceeded planned outcomes in first year)
  • Helped a healthcare retailer define and pilot a digital business model for Last Mile Delivery/BOPIS – buy-online, pick-up in store
  • Led a team at a Fortune 50 Conglomerate to define last mile delivery options for emerging markets
  • Part of leadership team that assessed the customer-to-cash process for a tech SaaS company to improve market relevance and process efficiency
  • Helped an industrial manufacturer define the strategy and economic model along with a pilot launch for a same-day delivery model
  • Created digitally-enabled supply chain solution to address introduction of a new business model and product experience
  • Envisioned and built several e-commerce business platforms for consumer, retail, industrial and pharmaceutical companies to launch new products and create new revenue streams with higher operating margin while co-existing with traditional business models
  • Developed a strategy and executed projects to help a big-box retailer create an enhanced guest experience and store associate experience to support a superior customer experience
  • Developed a strategy and pilot program for a multi-national company to identify and monetize a sensor based product line that was accretive to current line of business.
  • Deployed comprehensive mobile device infrastructure for a national big-box retailer’s1,600 stores and 70,000 associates to improve guest experience and provide interactive capabilities for self-service.
  • Created a channel enablement digital strategy and implemented a mobile solution for a global conglomerate that increased revenue by using data analytics to improve the effectiveness of the sale and shorten the sales cycle.
  • Created a machine-to-machine analytics solution for a National Industrial Manufacturer to collect data from multiple sensors and provide data visualization based on insights to maximize machine uptime and utilization and effectively manage SLAs for customers.
