Nita Patel

Nita is responsible for a diverse range of U.S. multi-national and foreign-owned clients that have employees working across borders, both domestically and internationally. Nita specializes primarily with chemical and energy related companies, including upstream oil and gas companies, refineries, and petrochemical companies. In providing services to clients, she brings extensive knowledge of many aspects of the international expatriate arena, including U.S. inbound individual and expatriate taxation, employment and payroll taxation, global mobility policy design and implementation, and the use of technology to support administration of a global mobility program.

Nita is a Partner in KPMG LLP’s Houston office. Nita has over 20 years of experience at KPMG providing personal tax services to high-net worth individuals as well as globally mobile employees of multi-national companies. She spent the first 5 years working with U.S. domestic high-net worth individuals and the last 15 years advising multi-national companies in the area of compliance from an employer and employee perspective. Serving as the engagement leader on several major clients in the Houston office, Nita has gained extensive experience in tax compliance, employer reporting and withholding issues as well as policy design and implementation. She also has experience as an expatriate, having lived and worked in Australia for over 2 years for KPMG Australia.
