Lou Abad is a Principal in KPMG’s Washington National Tax, Trade and Customs Services group, operating out of the New York office. He has 20 years of experience in indirect tax planning; assisting clients address their customs duty and value added tax liabilities, and international trade requirements. He is often engaged to address the international trade implications of global tax planning strategies. Lou is responsible for a broad range of international trade services, including U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) audit assistance, duty savings strategies, and export licensing and compliance assistance
