Luis Abad is a Principal in the International Tax group with a focus on Trade and Customs services for the KPMG Washington National Tax practice. He has over 25 years of experience in indirect tax planning; assisting clients address their customs duty and value added tax liabilities, and international trade requirements. He is often engaged to address the international trade implications of global tax planning strategies. Lou is responsible for a broad range of international trade services, including U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) audit assistance, duty savings strategies, and export licensing and compliance assistance.
