The U.S. Senate passed consent legislation extending for one week specific FAA programs.

The U.S. Senate last night passed via unanimous consent legislation extending for one week (through May 17, 2024) specific Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) programs and activities, as well as fuel and ticket taxes funding the airport and airway trust fund. The legislation had been approved by the House of Representatives earlier in the week. That measure will now go to President Biden for signature.

The Senate also passed its version of five-year FAA reauthorization legislation. The Senate bill differs from the version passed  by the House, which will vote on the bill when it returns next week.
