At Children's Wisconsin we're a Pediatric healthcare Organization. Our mission is to have the healthiest kids in America and we also have Specialty Care, Primary Care, through southeast Wisconsin, and then we do social care throughout the state of Wisconsin, and we have a health plan offering on the National Exchange. We chose Workday because we were looking for different kinds of reporting, different kinds of supply chain mechanisms, and different kinds of HR recruiting scenarios that we just weren't able to get from our current at the time ERP system.
We did a search to find out who we were going to use for an implementation partner. KPMG was one of the top choices we thought it was the best fit. They were one of the leaders in the nation in implementations of Workday, and we decided we wanted to be with the best and so we went with KPMG. I think the great thing about the team from KPMG was just the individual contributors that they brought on site.
Were individual knowledge holders in their specific area of expertise. From a transformation standpoint, KPMG was able to work directly with our staff and move through all stages of the implementation without really any significant holdups so, it was really just a very timely implementation. With our new Workday system, Children's Wisconsin hopes that we'll be able to look at the data in ways that we haven't been able to look at it previously. That any user of the system will be able to go in and query the system for real time information whereas previously we had a team that was dedicated to that reporting work and often by the time those reports were generated the data had become stale, and so we really think that that exposure to real time data real-time reporting going forward will be a game changing for us as an organization.
What came out of the alliances with KPMG and Workday is that we ended up with one of the best implementations on record. We feel that we have a really strong product after implementation like any organization. We have some optimization stabilization things that we're working through but really it was just a mostly flawless implementation that's the value we got out of the implementation with KPMG and Workday.
