People & Culture

At KPMG, we value a culture in which our staff are able to develop to their full potential. KPMG values and promotes an inclusive, diverse corporate culture.

Flexible working – dare to thrive with us

At KPMG Switzerland, we want you to thrive, grow and succeed. This includes a number of flexible work styles that enable you to balance your career with life outside of work, boost your wellbeing and support you to live the lives you want to live.

Hybrid working

Our hybrid working model enables you to move between the locations of office, home and client in a way that empowers you to deliver exceptional work and results while fostering your personal wellbeing. The model for each individual is determined by his / her role, work requirements and personal preference.

Working from anywhere

To help you thrive and meet your desire for flexibility around where you work, we provide you with the exciting opportunity to work remotely in a number of countries for up to 10 working days per calendar year. For example, if you wish to extend your stay before or after a holiday and work remotely you have the opportunity do so. Foreign nationals may work the same number of days from their home country.

Flex time

We want to empower you to use flexible work schedules so you can best manage your job and personal priorities and take a rest when you want to, all while growing your career.

This includes various flex time options such as taking additional holidays, working part-time, or the opportunity to work 100% in the busy season and use paid breaks or a lower workload e.g., 80% in between assignments where there is lower client demand.

Generous parental leave

We offer you generous parental leave with 18 weeks of maternity leave and 4 weeks of paternity leave to be taken up to one year after your child is born or adopted.

Our Contribution

We are active for a good purpose and are encouraging the following generations. Find out more about our coroporate social responsibilities.

We take on environmental responsibility and ensure that we keep our consumption of water and paper as low as possible. We obtain our power from sustainable sources like water or wind power where possible. Currently about 90% of our electricity comes from renewable sources. As part of our commitment to sustainability and innovation, we are proud to embrace a paperless work environment and prioritize digitalization across all our processes. By reducing paper usage and enhancing digital solutions, we aim to minimize our environmental footprint while improving efficiency and collaboration for our teams.

We are keen on getting active for social purposes. Each year we therefore set aside a certain budget for pro bono work and corporate volunteering. Our volunteering program enables our people to team up with colleagues and to volunteer in their local community. The missions span a diverse range of topics, such as food waste prevention, nature conservation, or supporting local immigrant communities. In addition, together with the KPMG Foundation we support projects in the areas of education and integration of people who are disabled or socially disadvantaged.

We encourage our employees in their quest to keep physically fit while at the same time doing something for the good of others. As part of our “Stay healthy – move for charity” campaign, KPMG donates a sum for a good purpose for every sporting activity undertaken.

Our Purpose

We inspire Confidence. We empower Change. We dare to do.

The Consultepreneur

Consultepreneurs are a new breed of professionals. They’re part consultants. Part entrepreneur. All business.
