Joanna O’Hora is Head of Global Compliance Management Services – Outbound at KPMG in Switzerland.  Joanna has been working as a tax adviser for over 20 years, providing tax and accounting compliance and advisory services to multinational organisations.   

      Joanna specializes in Global Compliance and Transformation, helping clients to reimagine their tax functions and develop target operating models fit for the future.  She has extensive experience leading Project Management Office (PMO) teams for tax and accounting compliance and transformation projects for organizations with a global or European headquarters in Switzerland. 

      Joanna assists clients across all industries with tax transformation projects, including developing target operating models for tax functions and designing and implementing solutions that address specific areas, such as compliance management (including evolving areas such as BEPS Pillar 2), tax risk management, tax control frameworks, process improvement and tax technology.  

      As the PMO lead on global tax transformation and compliance engagements, Joanna is an expert in applying robust processes to end-to-end tax processes. She is also skilled at harnessing KPMG and third-party technology solutions to drive improvements; she also has extensive experience managing the transition of large-scale compliance engagements, and in implementing robust change management processes. 

      Joanna has a strong global network within KPMG and belongs to the Global Compliance Management Services and Tax Transformation networks and is also fully connected with KPMG’s Accounting and Payroll Services, Transfer Pricing and Indirect Tax networks. Joanna spent six years with KPMG in the UK, moving to KPMG Switzerland in 2008. 

      Joanna is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS).
