Mark Livingston
Managing Director, Tax Transformation & Technology
Mark Livingston is a Managing Director in KPMG’s Tax Transformation and Technology practice. He has more than 24 years of tax consulting and tax transformation experience for both public and privately held companies.
Mark has provided assistance with ASC 740, tax compliance, mergers and acquisitions, entity restructurings and tax controversy across a number of industries. Working in both public and private practice, he has extensive experience with complex tax issues associated with multinational companies both publicly and privately held. Mark’s past industry experience includes manufacturing, distribution, retail, consumer products and software.
As a member of KPMG's Tax Transformation and Technology group, Mark assists and advises multinational clients with projects related to tax provision and compliance automation, lean six sigma tax process assessments, global data gathering and collaboration, tax calendaring, workflow management and ERP tax sensitization. Mark works extensively utilizing collaboration tools in corporate tax departments to assist with tax operational management and data gathering. In addition, he helps tax departments assess and comply with the Sarbanes-Oxley internal control requirements, particularly in connection with their ASC 740 technology and processes.
Mark frequently presents at TEI meetings, industry groups, share forums and tax software user conferences on topics including tax department leading practices, benchmarking trends, tax software technology, implementation and automation strategies, tax operational management, and tax process improvement.
Mark is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants. He holds his Bachelor's degree from Bryant University and his Master's degree from the University of Hartford.
