Laura is a Partner in KPMG’s Regions East Global Mobility Services (GMS) practice. She has over 15 years’ experience in Canadian and US personal tax and expatriate taxation. Laura is based out of KPMG’s Ottawa office but has primary responsibility for clients all over Eastern and Western Canada.
Laura assists companies and their employees who are travelling cross-border, working with a variety of industries, including technology, defense, construction, consulting, energy, crown corporations and non-profit organizations. She leads the Work from Anywhere (WFA) team nationally and is a member of KPMG’s global WFA team, having been involved in advising many clients on their WFA policies and the various issues to be addressed because of cross-jurisdictional remote work.
Laura also leads “Work Environment Discovery”, a cross-functional team of work environment specialists that advise clients on a variety of matters related to the work environment.
A graduate of the University of Waterloo’s Master of Accounting program, Laura is a Canadian trained CPA, CA and holds her US CPA designation.
