Yael Woodward Amaral

Yael is the Lead Partner of KPMG in Canada’s Pre and Post Deal Reporting service line with extensive experience assisting finance teams in both Canada and the U.S. through acquisitions, IPOs, and financial accounting change. Yael specializes in technical accounting requirements under IFRS, US GAAP and ASPE, including carve-out or combined financial statements, business combinations and regulatory matters in a range of industries including retail, consumer products, financial services and technology. She has supported Deal Advisory for over 12 years with a strong focus on both buy and sell side private equity transactions.

Yael is also an audit partner in the Consumer Markets specializing in the audits of financial statements publically in Canada and the effectiveness of internal control over financial reporting (ICOFR) under Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) standards in the United States, and application of rules and regulations of the SEC to both domestic and foreign private issuers.
