Katherine Wetmore

Katherine is a partner in KPMG’s Risk Consulting practice and has specialized in the Energy and Natural Resources sector, servicing some of Canada’s largest mining companies. She has significant experience providing internal and external audit, risk and control services and accounting and transaction assistance to companies at all stages in the mining life cycle. Katherine has a deep understanding of internal control certification requirements, including both SOX and NI 52-109, and is also a Lean-in-Audit facilitator, assisting companies apply Lean principles to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of its processes through external and internal audits. Katherine focuses on helping companies identify and manage their risks, and provide assurance on whether everything is operating as it should. In addition, Katherine has significant international experience and has visited over 10 mine sites on 3 continents.
