Rita Shulman is a Partner and the Practice Lead of the Global Immigration Department at KPMG Law LLP. Prior to joining KPMG Law in October of 2013, Rita held the position of Commercial Counsel-Immigration at a well-known Canadian company. In her position as Commercial Counsel-Immigration at the company, Rita was responsible for the development, management, delivery, evaluation and continuing evolution of global immigration services and solutions in support of the company’s employee mobility goals and strategies. She was responsible for assisting to create and oversee a number of company immigration compliance initiatives/policies for the United States, Canada and globally. She also managed the company’s internal Immigration Services team which was responsible for executing the company’s global business travel program.
Professional and Industry Experience
Rita possesses over 19 years of experience in corporate immigration law. She currently oversees the legal representation of major multinational clients in the temporary and permanent movement of their skilled human resources globally. Rita consults extensively with clients on workforce mobility solutions and risk mitigation as it relates to immigration compliance requirements.
