Dave Power

Dave is an audit partner at KPMG in Canada serving clients in the Consumer and Industrial markets sectors and KPMG’s National Audit Automotive Leader. He is focused on delivering audit efficiency, including with the use of data and analytics, and using his extensive knowledge and experience to support clients through complex accounting matters as well as regulatory transactions like raising debt and equity. 

Dave is also KPMG’s ESG Assurance Leader in the Greater Toronto Area, where he works closely with clients on their implementation of various sustainability reporting frameworks. Dave belongs to a number of internal working groups and taskforces, sharing leading practices on the implementation of accounting and ESG regulatory changes.

In the community, Dave is the Treasurer of the Board of Ovarian Cancer Canada and was formerly the Chair of the Board of ACCESS Community Capital Fund, a not-for-profit focusing on micro-lending to support self-sustaining businesses and careers. 

Beyond Toronto, Dave spent two years at KPMG’s International Standards Group in London, where he was involved in global audit quality projects and supported the global presentation technical topic team. He also works closely with the GTA’s Accounting Advisory Services group to support clients working through complex issues and ESG reporting and assurance readiness.
