Maria Khoushnood

Maria is an audit partner in GTA KPMG Private Enterprise practice. She provides audit and other advisory services to public sector entities (municipalities, hydro utilities, and other government entities), not for profit entities and profit-oriented businesses. Maria has a strong understanding of the various accounting frameworks and works with her clients in navigating challenges faced in financial reporting. She has authored numerous pieces of literature focusing on accounting and audit standards specific to the public sector both within Canada and internationally.

Maria co-leads the Lean-in audit initiative for the GTA KPMG Private Enterprise practice and has run many successful and insightful workshops over the past few years. She has also led many training sessions on different accounting and audit topics both internally within KPMG and externally with public sector entities.
