Zaid is a Toronto based partner in KPMG’s Management Consulting team. He leads KPMG’s consulting services for the insurance sector in Toronto. Zaid has over 15 years of consulting experience in the life insurance industry, working with some of the largest life insurers Canada and the UK. His focus is on the strategic transformation of finance and actuarial functions within insurers looking across data, actuarial modelling and valuation as well as actuarial reporting and data and analytics to support business decisions.

Zaid is the KPMG lead for the IFRS 17 implementation and associated finance and actuarial systems and process modernization work at a leading Canadian based global insurer. He also led the KPMG team that developed new capital calculation engines and analysis tools for the new LICAT capital regime in Canada.

Zaid is a specialist in financial transformation in insurance and has extensive experience working with large insurance clients in both Europe and North America.
