Simon is a Partner in the KPMG Vancouver practice, and a key member of our Asia Pacific practice in Canada. Specializing in Merger & Acquisition. Simon’s expertise includes advising high-net-worth individuals with cross-border personal and business tax issues, and real estate transactions in Canada and Asia. Simon’s proficiency in the Chinese and Cantonese languages is valuable as he shares insights to private corporations and their shareholders on a broad range of taxation and business matters, to corporate reorganization, financing structure, estate planning, as well as cross-border financing structure and divestiture transactions. Simon sits on the board as the Treasurer for Children’s Foundation which is an organization with the goal to improve the lives of children, particularly children under the age of 12 who have suffered trauma or are coping with a mental health condition since 1957 and as a Director for S.U.C.C.E.S.S. which is one of the largest social service agencies in British Columbia, Canada with the mission to build bridges, harvest diversity, and foster integration.
