We must rethink the reduction of food waste going to a landfill and divert towards food relief for people in need. There are many challenges facing the world now, not only as a result of the pandemic, but also bridge the gap between food industries and charities. This can only be addressed by redirecting food and creating tax incentives for organizations. Listen to Loek Helderman, Global Tax Lead, KPMG International as he discusses the development of a tax proposal in Australia to reduce food waste and provide food for people in need. His guests include Catherine Dean, Jenny Wong, Robert Poole and their client, Foodbank General Manager, Sarah Pennell.
