The U.S. Senate approved in a 95-2 vote on June 22 the tax treaty between the United States and Chile. The treaty was signed 13 years ago.1 (For prior coverage, see GMS Flash Alert 2023-114, June 6, 2023.)
The treaty also issues a declaration on the need for future tax treaties to reflect changes made to international tax provisions as part of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.
