Mahesh is a partner in our Department of Professional Practice (DPP) and focuses on financial reporting developments, issuing thought leadership publications and assisting engagement teams with interpreting and applying US GAAP and IFRS. Prior to joining the DPP, he was a partner in the Financial Institutions Audit practice in Toronto, Canada. Mahesh has global experience and has worked at KPMG in India, Bahrain, Canada and the US. He has over 25 years of experience providing financial statement audit, audit of internal controls, technical accounting and accounting change services.
Mahesh has also assisted clients in financial reporting, risk management strategies, valuation of certain financial instruments such as derivatives and structured products, loan loss methodologies, leasing arrangements, debt versus equity analysis, and securitizations. He has led a number of accounting change management projects and frequently lectures at both internal and external conferences and client events.
