      KPMG Global Values Week 2025

      Building trust, together

In May 2025, KPMG Global Values Week brought together 275,000 colleagues across more than 140 countries and territories for a shared celebration of our culture and Values — Integrity, Excellence, Courage, Together, and For Better. This year’s program was more than a series of events; it was a catalyst to strengthen trust, inspire ethical decision-making, and unite our people in a rapidly changing world.

Guided by feedback from previous years and a renewed focus on ethical culture, Global Values Week was an opportunity to introduce our ethical decision-making framework CARE, helping colleagues navigate complex decisions with confidence. The week featured a global broadcast with best-selling author and speaker Simon Sinek and KPMG International’s Global Chairman and CEO, Bill Thomas, interactive “ethical avengers” challenges, and tailored local activities led by more than 320 activators around the global organization. Programming was designed to be accessible and culturally relevant, with content translated into seven languages and events scheduled to reach every time zone.

Colleagues from at least 130 countries and territories participated in daily ethical dilemma quests, with post-event surveys showing 90 percent of respondents gained a clearer understanding of how our Values support strategy and trust. Most importantly of all, most respondents came away feeling more motivated to champion KPMG’s Values.

KPMG Global Values Week 2025 demonstrated the power of shared reflection and open dialogue, and the collective action it unlocks. By living our Values every day, KPMG people are building a culture of trust — one decision, one conversation, one connection at a time.

Navigating the evolving human rights landscape

      KPMG Switzerland

KPMG professionals are committed to respecting human rights as outlined in our Business and Human Rights Statement, aligned with the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights. KPMG firms also advise clients as they navigate risks and regulatory requirements that continue to evolve. Companies are operating in an increasingly fragmented and complex regulatory environment, with overlapping and changing frameworks across jurisdictions creating uncertainty and compliance challenges.

KPMG Switzerland recently conducted some market analysis to assess how Swiss companies perceive human rights, how mature their human rights due diligence engagement is, and how prepared they are for emerging legislation and international standards such as the UN Guiding Principles and OECD Guidelines. The findings were summarized in a publication  which identified four major challenges faced by many businesses across sizes and industries — complex supply chains and lack of reliable data; lack of legal clarity; engaging in meaningful stakeholder dialogues on human rights topics and the challenge of taking actions that really make an impact on the ground and/or address systemic issues. The summary recommended that stronger cross-industry collaboration and multi-stakeholder initiatives to pool resources, share data and align expectations are likely to be key elements to addressing these challenges.

To provide concrete action in support of this conclusion, KPMG Switzerland aims to provide a neutral space for dialogue and knowledge sharing on relevant human rights topics across sectors through carefully curated client events. The Human Rights Insights Breakfast, held in Zurich and hosted by KPMG Switzerland in October 2025, presented the initial market insights. The event brought together clients from the business sector with stakeholders from the Swiss government, multi-stakeholder initiatives, non-profit organizations and other sustainability and human rights experts. Further similar events and workshops are planned to provide increased opportunities for cross-sector collaboration and peer learning.

Through this work KPMG Switzerland is helping to position human rights as a key pillar of responsible business for Swiss companies. Integrating human rights into company operations helps build stakeholder trust and shows ethical transparency. It also enhances resilience by helping organizations manage risks and adapt to changing regulations and social expectations.
