Indian textiles and apparel products have a history of fine craftmanship across the entire value chain from fiber, yarn, fabric to apparel with high global appeal. The textiles and apparel industry contribute 2.3% to the country’s GDP, 13% to industrial production and 12% to exports. Around 45 million families are working in the textile business, making this industry a huge employment generation source for India. India is second in global textile manufacturing and also second in silk and cotton production[1]. India has huge source of supply of textiles and apparel to the world market. Government is implementing various policy initiatives and schemes for supporting the development of textile sector. These schemes and initiatives promote technology upgradation, creation of infrastructure, skill development and sectoral development in the textile sector, create a conducive environment and provide enabling conditions for textile manufacturing in the country and help in boosting the textile sector. Considering the employment potential of textile sector, the Government is promoting investment in this sector which will create additional jobs, businesses and skilling opportunities under the broad objectives of various policy initiatives of the Government including "Skill India" and "Make in India". The future of the Indian textiles industry looks promising, buoyed by strong domestic consumption as well as export demand. India is working on various major initiatives to boost its technical textile industry.

In this regard, The Confederation of Indian Textile Industry (CITI) is organising 3rd Global Textile Conclave coinciding with 1st India Textiles and Apparel Fair (ITAF) from 15 (Wednesday) - 17 (Friday) March 2023, in Ruby Hall, Hotel Marriott, Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. The theme of the Conclave is “Strategies for Balancing Sustainability & Profitability in Textile Value Chain”. The event shall benefit the Companies for sustainable growth in the textile sector, gain insights on “Investment Opportunities in India for Global T&C Value Chain”.
The Inauguration of mega event 3rd Global Textile Conclave will be honoured by Chief Guest “Shri Piyush Goyal“, Hon’ble Union Minister of Textiles, Commerce & Industry, Consumer Affairs and Food & Public Distribution and “Smt. Darshana Vikram Jardosh”, Hon’ble Minister of State for Textiles and Railways to deliver the Keynote Address as the Guest of Honour.

Further, the Inauguration of ITAF will be honoured by Chief Guest “Shri Ashok Gehlot”, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Rajasthan and “Smt. Usha Sharma, IAS”, Chief Secretary of Rajasthan to deliver the Keynote Address as the Guest of Honour.

During this three-day event, interactions with global T&C businessmen, presentations by international trade experts, buyer-seller meet, exhibition, award function, launch of special publication and reports will be showcased. In nutshell, it will cover the entire textile value chain from “FARM to FASHION”. The event is organised under head of 10 sessions as follows :
