Masahiro Miyahara

Masahiro joined Asahi & Co. (the predecessor to KPMG AZSA LLC) in 1991. After experiencing audit work in several different industries for 4 years, he worked in the Business Consulting division from 1995 to 2000, including consulting work as a trainee in the US for 1.5 years. Since returning to the current Audit group in 2000, he was engaged in accounting and auditing for major Japanese companies, supported internal control reporting systems of the Financial Instruments and Exchange law, and was also involved in consulting for business restructuring and JSOX advisory for listed global companies until 2007, whereupon he was seconded to the New York office of KPMG until 2009. Upon his return to the Tokyo office, he has been engaged in accounting and auditing of global companies as well as in promoting IFRS services for major global companies. He was elected to the partnership in 2003, appointed as Head of the IFRS Division (currently Accounting Advisory Services (AAS) Division) of KPMG in Japan in 2010, appointed as Head of AAS for Asia-Pacific in 2011, and appointed as Lead Partner of KPMG in Japan Asia Listing Advisory Group in 2012.
