Sarah has over 9 years of experience in the Electric and Gas utilities space focusing on strategic planning with various roles spanning risk and asset management, regulatory strategy and sustainability reporting and planning. Prior to joining KPMG, she lead the strategic planning for wildfire mitigation at SDG&E. In that role, she directed the development of analytical models to advance best practices in risk-informed decision-making as well as the optimization of large capital investment portfolios to reduce risk across the system and enhance climate resiliency. In addition, she represented SDG&E in regulatory proceedings and workshops before the commission to share the company’s wildfire risk modeling efforts as well as risk mitigation strategies. She also served as the Chair of the Risk Management working group at the International Wildfire Risk Mitigation Consortium and presented at the WEI Operations Conference on the topic of wildfire mitigation in California.
