Rahul Singhal

Rahul has experience of more than 24 years in IT advisory and industry. He is based out of the Gurugram office and co-leads KPMG in India’s Cyber Assurance practice. He joined the firm in 2002 and has experience in driving risk and compliance programmes, including SOX, information systems auditing, IT internal and external audits, ISAE 3402/3000 examinations, project managing large technology programs, and business systems controls reviews.

Rahul is a part of KPMG in India’s G8 team on Trusted AI and is leading KPMG in India’s Responsible AI services, focusing on risks and controls in AI.

During his career, he has served national and multinational clients in India, the U.K., Nepal, and Bangladesh across market segments including financial services, consumer and industrial segments, and information, communication, and entertainment. He has experience in carrying out business system controls review, segregation of duties design, and review across multiple ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, Navision, and bespoke/custom built application systems. He has also helped clients with their technology strategy design, drafting, and reviewing large IT outsourcing contracts for clients, and worked with all three lines of defence with various organisations in their information technology risk management domain.

Rahul has also built and led the KPMG Lighthouse, the Global Center of Excellence for data, AI & emerging technologies’ team in the north, where he assisted multiple clients in adopting new generation technologies to get insights from their data to solve business problems. Rahul’s experience there encompasses several industries, such as industrial manufacturing, telecom, IT BPO, consumer markets, and global capability centres.
