Bidyut Chakraborty, a Partner in Business Consulting team of KPMG in India, is a seasoned leader with almost 23 years of professional services experience, out of which more than 16 years are with KPMG in India. Bidyut has successfully led some of the largest and most complex assignments in mining and metals industry segments, globally and in India.

His key areas of expertise include business transformation, cost optimisation, revenue enhancement, business planning, policy design, capacity building, bid advisory, and project management of large consulting assignments. He has been advising a variety of clients including governments, public sector organisations, and private sector companies.

In KPMG in India, Bidyut is the Account Lead Partner for three large and complex accounts. He has also been collaborating closely with other member firms within KPMG International’s network of member firms in joint sales and delivery of multiple engagements in mining and metals, primarily in strategy development, operations improvement, cost optimisation, and feasibility assessment.

Bidyut is a member of the National Council on Iron & Steel and National Council on Coal at Assocham; Life Member and National Council member of Mining Engineers’ Association of India (MEAI); and Member of Mining, Geological and Metallurgical Institute of India (MGMI).
