Devang Bhandari

He leads the Deal Advisory & Strategy practice at KGS, which provides delivery capability across the deal lifecycle as well as strategy propositions to member firms globally.

In addition to his business role, he leads the Corporate Citizenship program for KGS, and is responsible for developing the social impact investment strategy and driving corporate volunteering programs.

In his previous roles, he has worked on several UK, European and Middle East restructuring and performance-improvement projects and has served as the interim manager, leading several turnaround initiatives at the stressed portfolio companies of various private equity clients. At these companies, Devang spearheaded several key projects:

He drove turnaround initiatives for specific business units of one of the world’s leading helicopter companies, with significant presence across the UK, Denmark, Canada and Australia. He was also involved in successfully bidding for a UK government contract covering a period of over 30 years and worth more than GBP6 billion. At the company, he also played a significant role in the valuation and selling of the training division to a strategic partner.

He led cash- and working-capital-improvement initiatives for a PE-owned multibillion-pound UK retailer as Interim Treasurer & Controller as well as assisted the PE client with successfully closing the transaction.

He chaired the company’s financial and operational restructuring program as the Interim CFO of an FMCG manufacturer with plants in Austria, Hungary and China. In addition, he implemented the 13-week cash flow process at the company.

Devang has also led several financial and business due diligence projects for PE and corporate clients looking for acquisitions in the US. The PE clients included One Equity Partners, Madison Dearborn Partners, Oak hill Capital, Odyssey Investment Partners and First Reserve Corporation. His corporate clients included Emerson Electric, ITW and Cargill.

He has a strong sector experience in Consumer Goods & Retail, Aviation and Manufacturing.
