He has worked across asset-intensive industries including metals/ mining, chemicals, petrochemicals, upstream oil and gas and pharmaceuticals. Within metals, Amit has worked across the value chain both for ferrous ( iron, steel, ferro alloys) and non ferrous ( Al, Zn, Cu, Ag) sub segments. He is currently managing firm’s positioning, presence and partnership with leading domestic metals conglomerates. He is also shaping and leading firm’s agenda in the metals and mining sector.
Most recently, Amit is working with a large conglomerate in driving growth and diversification (into Hi tech electronics) while leveraging the business and policy environment resulting from the government’s strategic focus around ‘Make in India’. He has also recently worked driving EBITDA expansion through AI / ML technologies and establishing circular initiatives leveraging conventional and emerging technologies.
Before his tenure with KPMG in India, Amit has earlier worked with Accenture and A.T. Kearney. He has also been the head of strategy for a large domestic pharmaceutical major. Amit started his career with a leading petrochemical major and was managing operations for select plants.
Amit received his Post Graduate Degree in Business Management from the Indian Institute of Management Bengaluru and holds a BTech degree in Chemical Engineering from Harcourt Butler Technological Institute, Kanpur.
